Establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business Leadership for Honeywell Building Automation business for Americas and Pacific Regions as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. In this role, you will be reporting to Honeywell Building Automation (BA) Americas and Pacific Regional Sourcing Group . This position is responsible for the development and execution of BA category and supplier strategies for Pacific Region AND for suppliers in China supporting Americas Region that enables supplier rationalization, supply continuity risk mitigation, and migration of spend to preferred suppliers while achieving lowest Total Cost for BA AMER and Pacific regions, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will lead supplier performance and productivity over $60M of EMS, Electronics and Electricals commodities spend in China for Americas Region and $10M spend for Pacific Region , building partnership and will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, export/import regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute EMS, Electronics and Electricals category strategies leveraging best-in-class suppliers, processes and products to enable a competitive advantage to BA AMER Region business in China and to BA Pacific Region
- Partner with COE category sourcing partners and BA cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution for Pacific Region and AMER Region in China
- Consolidate fragmented BA spend in China for AMER region and Pacific region, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Honeywell
- Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity
- Identify and select approved suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies
- Engage in new product development to drive business award to preferred suppliers and support the launch schedule and target cost
- Facilitate engagement across AMER and Pacific Regional business and functions to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned commodities space
- Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers to maximize benefit to Honeywell
- Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost improvements with supply base
- Support the refresh of Electronics COEs and BA AMER and Pacific sourcing AOPs and strategic plans
- Drive world-class performance from supply base
- Work with Electronics Category COE and BA sourcing and procurement teams in China to achieve lowest total cost, continuous quality improvement, and on-time delivery
- Work with global commodity leaders to assure a coordinated commodity strategy exists across the enterprise in China for AMER Region and in Pacific Regio
- Ensure global policy compliance
- Leverage EMS/Electronics/Electricals spend (volume) across Honeywell BA in China to drive year-over-year savings
- Drive supplier rationalization to preferred / best-in-class suppliers, lead supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationships
- Complete and manage supplier contracts and multi-year agreements
- Optimize working capital for the organization
- Secure supply by partnering with suppliers and BA stakeholders to support demand and business growth
- Improve overall operational service levels to the business
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or Business
- At least 10 years of work experience in strategic sourcing and leading successful supplier negotiations Experience in sourcing EMS, Electronics and Electricals commodities including Semiconductors, Passives, Distributors, Speakers, Motors, Transformers, Relay, Cables, Connectors)
