HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai), a joint venture securities company, was incorporated on 28 August 2017, pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.
The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares, while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (QFH) holds the remaining 10%. Our headquarters are located in Qianhai, Shenzhen. We have branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and a trading outlet in Qianhai, Shenzhen.

Responsibilities of the role holder
As part of Financials research team supporting the expanding franchise, the candidate will primarily focus on model updates, data processing and research products publication (both English and Mandarin):
- To assure secondary and supporting responsibility for the coverage of a defined set of stocks within Financials sector.
- To assist research analysts to provide regular and active coverage of the stocks, including providing updates post results, news flow and company announcement, as well more in-depth fundamental trends and thematic, and corporate access related products.
- To assist research analysts to provide ongoing servicing to our main clients with respect to the stock coverage including regular updates (especially on the back of news flow), and undertake client requests internally and externally.
- To assist research analysts to maintain strong constructive relationships with sales and other internal stakeholders as appropriate.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the research business, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy, including the Group Compliance Policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a domestic 985 university, a university ranked within the top 50 by US News in the United States, or an equivalent college in the UK. Given financial sector research work has high requirements for data processing capabilities, it is recommended that graduates majoring in mathematics or corresponding science and engineering fields.
- Being honest and trustworthy, possessing strong integrity, professional ethics and self-discipline, and abiding by the professional norms and corresponding compliance requirements of securities industry and HSBC.
- Being conscientious and responsible, good at communication, having strong execution ability, and being able to effectively communicate and coordinate regarding work and report publishing with production team. Possessing strong self-study ability and pursue self-improvement in the work.
- Possessing a solid foundation in mathematics, strong logical thinking, sensitivity to numbers and strong data processing skills.
- Being capable of writing simple weekly reports, regular earnings reports and data tracking reports, and being able to timely respond and update market information. Possessing good writing skills, and being able to present research results in an easy-to-understand, concise and clear way.
- Having relevant working experience in financial sector research and have a good understanding of financial sector’s knowledge.
- Proficient in using tools such as Excel, Power point, Wind, Bloomberg, etc., capable of quickly, accurately and proficiently updating various databases and company models.
- Good at English including excellent English writing skills.
- Being able to endure hardships and work hard, and having a strong ability to withstand high pressure. Being result-oriented.
