About the role
The Oral Health GM will set the ambition for the category by developing and delivering a holistic, purpose led, consumer focused strategy and acceleration plan. Build a winning organization and culture that delivers superior growth and share gains to create competitive advantage through, faster time-to-market, category innovation, geographic and consumer expansion. The principal accountabilities are marketing, sales, Omni channel management (including E-commerce, OTO and NKA), DDT, sales team management. The role is responsible for management of multiple channels both on-line (eCommerce) and offline.
Key responsibilities
- Revenue generation and cost management.
- Business performance, achievement of KPIs and full Profit and Loss accountability.
- Devise, implement and communicate the strategy for the business to the workforce and take accountability for setting and monitoring performance targets to achieve the strategy.
- Oral category GM is accountable for developing and maintaining the talent pipeline and succession planning. This includes responsibility for people development and talent management.
- Lead both Sales and Marketing in multiple channels, online (eCommerce business) and offline channels (e.g. Modern trade, DDT etc.).
- Oral category GM will take full responsibility for the performance of the business unit and ensure entire team has strong capability to achieve growth.
- Ensuring that all sales and marketing activities and workforce activities meet Company guidelines as well as external compliance rules and country regulations.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- 10-15 years' experience as Marketing or Category Director with end-to-end responsibility for multi-year brand strategy, product launches, and portfolio management and innovation —ideally in Consumer Health or FMCG. Must have had significant people leadership experience and proven success and turnaround record.
- Owned a full P&L with direct commercial accountability, delivering Net Sales and Operating Profit in a senior leadership role (e.g. GM, Marketing Director, Sales Director), including budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning, with experience participating in or leading the 3-year plan development cycle.
- Led cross-functional execution in a matrixed organisation, managing or co-leading teams across marketing, sales, supply, and finance to deliver aligned execution at scale.
- Operated in China’s complex and regulated consumer market, navigating compliance, adapting to local competition and digital trends, and delivering growth through localised strategy.
- Applied data and insight to drive commercial decisions, using consumer, market, and performance data to shape pricing, innovation, and investment strategy in dynamic conditions. external focus / network that can grab market / consumer / regulatory / competitive trends etc. with proactive identification and mgt of risks and opportunities

- P&L Ownership and Commercial Rigor: Converts strategic intent into scalable growth with disciplined execution. Drives P&L performance through robust operating plans and end-to-end marketing execution, integrating digital and offline platforms to maximize efficiency, reach, and ROI.
