VIE - Laboratory Project Manager Engineer - M/F

As part of the expansion of our analytical capabilities in Asia, Eurokera, an international industrial company specializing in the manufacturing of high-end glass-ceramic panels, is seeking a VIE Laboratory Project Engineer to lead the implementation of a new testing and analysis laboratory at its Guangzhou (China) site.

This VIE is a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the structuring of a strategic tool at the heart of our industrial activity, while working in a multicultural and innovative environment.

As a Laboratory Project Manager Engineer VIE, your main role will consist in:

• Defining the testing and analysis equipment requirements;
• Managing the acquisition and installation of additional equipment;
• Implementing the equipment and ensure its proper functioning;
• Writing operating procedures and ensuring their dissemination;
• Coordinating round-robin cross-validation campaigns with other Eurokera laboratories (France and the United States);
• Establishing procedures to support plant operations;
• Training local teams in the use of laboratory equipment;
• Providing technical support to the Product, Quality, and Qales teams (complaints, new product development, testing)
• Conducting research projects related to product innovation or industrial development.

➡️ Extra information:

• This is a 12 month mission. The possibility to extend the mission for 12 more months will be discussed before the end of the initial period.

• Before the start of the mission in China, a 1 to 3 months training period will be organized in our French laboratory, next to Château-Thierry, to increase skills on our equipment, processes and working methods.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (General, Materials, Chemistry, Mechanics, or Quality)
• You have at least 2 years of professional experience on a permanent or fixed-term contract, post studies (required for your eligibility to a VIE in China)
• You are hands-on and already have a first experience in a lab environment
• You have excellent organizational skills and strong project management skills
• You are rigorous, analytical, and curious
• You have the ability to work independently while fostering teamwork
• You are recognized for your good interpersonal skills and strong ability to adapt to a multicultural environment
• You are Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Song Man (APAC Product Manager, Material Science major, France-educated) – Leads technical strategy in Asia and global R&D collaboration.

Zoe Huang (Product Manager, Material Process Engineering major) – Manages customer technical support and local innovation projects.

Together, they are transforming Guangzhou into glass-ceramic innovation gateway for Asia, and you will play a key role in:

• Setting up the new lab with local needs and French standards.

• Bridging EuroKera’s global expertise with China manufacturing speed.
