Overview
As a Validation Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will spearhead the planning, execution, and oversight of complex validation activities across multiple projects, requiring seamless cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish requirements, manage program schedules, and mitigate risks. This role is key in ensuring the successful delivery of validation processes from prototype through to the New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.
Responsibilities
- Manage and host validation activities and meetings, guiding projects through prototype to NPI stages.
- Drive and document test procedures across cross-functional teams and with external vendors/suppliers.
- Develop and manage validation schedules, collaborating with partners to address schedule risks and implement mitigations.
- Maintain comprehensive reports on validation issues, bug tracking, risks, and overall validation status.
- Establish and update quality scorecards and dashboards for ongoing project evaluations.
- Travel within Mainland China and occasionally to the Asia Pacific region and the US for various project needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an engineering/technical program manager overseeing hardware programs from concept to mass production.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience collaborating with CM/JDM/ODM suppliers or key component vendors.
- Excellent communication skills, with professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in data analytics, including building dashboards using tools like Jira Xray or PowerBI.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in system validation as a Validation TPM.
- Strong understanding of the requirements and development flow for building consumer electronics products.
- Experience in developing 0-to-1 products within both JDM and CM vendor engagement models.
- Basic knowledge of Python, including the ability to execute scripts and update OS/FW on development devices.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related area.
- PMP or PMI certification is preferred.
