Your Role
Our Life Asia is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Senior Underwriter (Life/Health) to work in our Shanghai office and provide high quality underwriting services to our client companies in China.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite medical, financial and special risks within the scope of assigned underwriting limits
- Continuously monitor and enhance underwriting quality both internally and externally
- Address underwriting issues with clients in a timely manner
- Review underwriting guidelines/rules of clients and provide relevant advice
- Support client relationship development and marketing efforts, which includes provision of training and presenting at industrial events
- Participate in regional and international initiatives and projects
Your Profile
- A university graduate in the medical field, preferably with at least 2 years clinical experience
- At least 8 years underwriting experience, preferably in a life/health insurance/reinsurance company
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
- Able to work independently as well as a strong team player
