Job title: Senior Supplier Engineer (G&B)
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction (NPI):
1. Participate in the supplier sourcing process, evaluating potential new suppliers for quality engineering capabilities.
2. Perform quality engineering capability assessments of potential new suppliers.
3. Act as a core member of NPI project teams, driving quality initiatives.
4. Develop, execute, monitor, and control APQP plans as part of the NPI process.
5. Contribute to the Supplier Project Book content, ensuring detailed documentation.
6. Support Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration between R&D and suppliers to ensure high-quality product designs.
7. Ensure critical-to-quality characteristics are effectively communicated and implemented by suppliers.
8. Manage Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line release, and completion.
9. Drive supplier quality improvement and development through the APQP process.
Sustaining:
1. Analyze defects to determine if they are supplier-related and initiate notifications if necessary.
2. Handle Supplier Quality Notifications (SQNs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
3. Drive APQP plan development, execution, monitoring, and control as part of sustaining changes.
4. Execute supplier performance monitoring, reporting, improvement, and development activities.
5. Conduct supplier quality risk assessment and mitigation activities.
6. Assess and coordinate Supplier Change Requests.
7. Develop supplier competence where needed, fostering continuous improvement.
You're the right fit if:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably with a focus on medical products.
· Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 standards.
· Proven experience in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
· Solid Knowledge of Statistical methods and analysis. Experience with Quality tools (MSA, Process Capability and SPC).
· Know well and experienced to communicate at business level the needs to IQ/OQ/PQ and consequence to product quality .
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments and with suppliers.
· Ability to travel as needed for supplier assessments and quality audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in personal health, medial products.
· Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant certifications.
