We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Management Officer.
Business: Asia Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Managing the collection, collation and processing of project information from stakeholders on HSBC standard tooling and maintain the overall master data.
- Managing and updating project documentation, process documents and information sources.
- Provide guidance, templates, tools and training to project manager and teams.
- Identify, Monitor & Control project financial risks / issues in consultation with all parties.
- Assist Senior management with tracking project budgets and forecasting costs.
- Manage the budgets, forecasts and plans with all stakeholders end-to-end along with presenting the summary on regular basis for Senior management decision making purposes.
- Execute the reviews on workforce/headcount status and helping with the projections, rates, FTE spreads over the year. Accurate controlling of rolling forecast positions for keeping track with corresponding numbers to be in line at every monthly / yearly cycle.
Organizational
- Experience in financial institution (2 years +) preferred.
- Good understanding HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives.
- Excellent understanding and operational knowledge of HSBC Global Change Delivery toolset, specifically GPDM/Clarity/JIRA/Confluence.
Project Portfolio Management
- Experience in Project & Portfolio Management (3 years +) preferred.
- Lead and manage small scale project.
- Sound knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) concepts. Excellent understanding of project management frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques.
- Strong competency in professional project planning, and other project management skills.
- Strong understanding, analyzing, interpreting and working with information (both financial or nonfinancial) and variance reporting.
- Flexibility when managing shifting or competing priorities.
- Strong capability in Office (Excel & Powerpoint).
- Drive multiple parallel implementations and/or enhancement of Clarity, Sharepoint, Jira, Confluence etc.
- Managing Clarity Project and Resources Requests. Reviewing User Manual and tool support.
- Drive and influence data quality, proactively identifying issues and recommending tooling solutions.
Facilitating PMO tool trainings and collaborating regularly with IT Engagement Manager / Project Manager.
Communication
- Fluent English and Cantonese.
- Customer-focused; results-oriented; ability to deliver within deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills both written and verbally.

- Strong thought leadership and creativity.
- Energetic, positive attitude and team player.
- Self-starter, who can work pro-actively with minimum supervision.
