Sales Manager - Industrial Drives China

About The Team
We are looking for a new colleague to work in our sales team as a Sales Manager for our Division Industrial Technology at our location of Shanghai. This Job Role is part of Job Family "Sales & Market" / Sub-Job-Family "Customer Sales and Development" and includes jobs responsible for the penetration of a defined number of defined Key Customers, including building sound networks between ZF and its´ customers in both technical and commercial aspects, and at all hierarchical levels, to prepare short-term business opportunities and long term business relations with dedicated key customers.
What you can look forward as a Sales Manager - Industrial Drives China?
- Main Objectives: Actively driving and managing the sales and project management process for China customers with good skills in the technology evaluation stage of the sales process; working in close cooperation with the ZF sales/engineering team in the HQ in Germany and R&D team in Beijing, as the key technical advisor and product advocate for industrial drive system. Relationship building, new customer development, regular customer care, and contact.
- Sales and project management for industrial drive gearboxes: Be responsible for the development and delivery of product demonstrations; Be responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, exhibitions, etc.
- Be responsible for responding to and understanding functional and technical elements of RFQs, quotations, and specifications. Be responsible for conveying customer requirements to overseas product management and teams.
- Customer and market analysis, analysis of factors influencing the business environment.
Your Profile as a Sales Manager - Industrial Drives China:
- Min. 5 years in sales for industrial drive gearbox in a multinational firm.
- Has an Engineering degree in mechanical or a related major. Strong command of English requires to be working language, German is not required, preferred to have. As the majority of our customers are Chinese customers, being professional level or above in Mandarin is necessary. Skilled of operating MS Office programs.
- Active in communication, building of internal and external network.
- Willingness for business travels within China and to Germany.Ability to work under no supervision.
- Reliability of task completion and follow-up of pending issues.
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales for automation and drives and knowledge of technology. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFQs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
