This role is ideally suited for professionals with a strong background in FPSO conversion projects.
You will be the key coordination focal point for all hull conversion activities, ensuring alignment across engineering, shipyard, classification, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow-up on FPSO hull conversion scope: structural reinforcements, life-extension works, turret/mooring integration, topsides supports, and safety-critical foundations.
- Act as the main interface between the FPSO Engineering Manager, EPCIC contractor, shipyard, classification societies, and vendors.
- Review, challenge, and validate engineering deliverables and hull conversion drawings.
- Ensure consistency with FPSO standards, Class rules, and international regulations.
- Monitor hull conversion execution at the shipyard in Nantong, escalating deviations and proposing mitigation measures.
- Drive coordination meetings, technical reviews, and multi-discipline integration discussions.
- Support contractor/vendor management: planning, reporting, inspections, and approvals.
- Provide clear reporting and decision-support to the FPSO Engineering Manager.
- Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
- 10+ years’ experience in FPSO hull conversion or shipyard EPCIC projects
- Deep knowledge of FPSO hull conversion practices, interfaces with topsides, and turret/mooring integration.
- Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a complex offshore project environment.
- Familiar with Class societies and offshore regulatory frameworks.
- Fluent English is mandatory
Location: Nantong, Jiangsu, China (resident position)
Duration: 2-year renewable contract
