SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY*
- The primary purpose of this role is to manage the performance of the value stream team at the Suzhou Orthopedic Site and related projects, ensuring that the value stream team operates effectively and efficiently in areas such as safety, quality and compliance, service and cost control.
- Coordinate all possible resources to ensure the smooth operation of performance management for the value stream team. These resources include, but are not limited to, safety, quality, operations, operational excellence, engineering, projects, planning, logistics, finance, facilities, etc.
- Assist the line manager in formulating business resource planning.
SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Performance and Program Management of the Value Stream Team:
- Manage the performance indicators at all levels related to the value stream team in accordance with the requirements of the Johnson and Johnson Production System (JJPS) and Manage Site Performance (MSP), including but not limited to: participating in the setting of performance indicators, decomposing goals from the site to the value stream and then to the shopfloor; managing performance indicator data and templates in daily operations, systematically identifying improvement opportunities through data analysis, user interviews, etc., and promoting standardization; In conjunction with the site's application of digital intelligence, advance the application of new technologies in performance management, such as Digital Performance Management (DPM).
- Program management related to performance, including but not limited to value stream structure advancement program, operator asset care projects, and performance-specific improvement projects. Additionally, support personnel development projects in the operations department, including but not limited to frontline employee development projects, apprenticeship programs, and management trainee training programs, etc.
- Inspection Team Operation Management :
- Lead the inspection team to execute process inspections in daily production, ensuring product compliance for release.
- Lead and support investigations and resolutions of deviations related to process inspections, compliance checks, and continuous improvement projects, such as inspection optimization and CAPA handling.
- Administrative Support for the Operation Team:
- Responsible for providing administrative support for the operation team, such as data collection and analysis, onboarding, post transfers, departures, attendance, overtime, and benefits-related support for production personnel, as well as procurement and management of production materials.
Additionally,
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*
- Bachelor's degree in engineering-related fields, such as mechanical, materials, automation, etc., is preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in supply chain-related work. Experience in departments related to manufacturing processes and operational excellence is preferred.
- Experience as a management trainee in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience in the medical devices industry or healthcare field.
- Team management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in project management.
- Experience in lean manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in English as a working language.
SECTION 4: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS *
- Demonstrated project management skills, such as FPX certification, etc.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, such as RCPS, A3 training, and certification, etc.
- GMP and compliance mindset in the medical industry.
- Deep understood lean manufacturing theories and demonstrated practical skills, with a preference for lean green belt/black belt certification.
