Position Overview
Based at Guangzhou China, in order to further strengthen our finance team, we are currently seeking an:
Finance Director
(Guangzhou , China )
lead the finance function for our organization within a specific country or region. You’ll be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Your role is critical in ensuring financial stability, growth, and alignment with corporate objectives
Key Accountabilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals. Create annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with business leaders, department heads, and regional teams. Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making.
Risk Management and Internal Controls:
- Assess financial risks and implement effective controls. Monitor internal audit processes and address any findings.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Optimize cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee banking relationships. Mitigate foreign exchange risks.
Tax Strategy and Optimization:
- Work closely with tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies. Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team. Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional growth.
Financial Systems and Process Improvement: L
- Evaluate existing financial systems and processes. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and scalability.
Profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 10 years of finance management experience
- Proven experience finance leadership roles, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- IFRS Reporting, Accounting, General Accounting Proficiency.
- Good understanding of law and general practices in terms of finance management
- Excellent English writing and communication skill.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP BI is a highly desired asset.
- People leadership experience and ability to work with diverse styles and cultures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented; strong initiative and follow-through;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to set priorities; solid judgment
