ABOUT THE ROLE
- The Finance Director, Greater China, is a member of the Greater China management committee and is responsible for leading the finance organization, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, while supporting the delivery of business targets.
- Responsible for safeguarding the company’s assets, maintaining a strong controls environment that leads to consistent compliance with company policies and with external tax and reporting requirements.
- The role is responsible for pro-active, forward-looking business partnership, providing sound financial advice and sharing accountability for delivering business targets within approved budgets.
- Develop a high-performing finance team with emphasis on integrity, business partnership, succession planning and capability building via training and coaching.
- Report to the Senior Finance Director, Asia Pacific, and is a member of the regional finance leadership team along with fellow finance directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguard company assets and ensure strong internal control environment, including the timely and sustainable implementation of audit recommendations.
- Comply with the company’s global policies as well as statutory and tax requirements, ensuring these policies and requirements are widely understood among the finance teams.
- Deliver financial and market share objectives for each fiscal year and for five-year strategic planning periods. Responsibility ranges from target and budget deployment to review and analysis of latest results to leadership of monthly forecast process (S&OP), to recommendation of corrective measures or other management committee interventions.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with a range of audiences spanning local, cluster-level, region-level, and global business unit level. Be able to translate accounting and financial results into common business language so that financial results, forecasts, business propositions and associated analysis are commonly and easily understood.
- Be a reliable source of financial expertise, business and industry knowledge and problem-solving capability to assure sound analysis and formulation of action plans to deliver business objectives.
- Champion and role model winning behaviors such as establishing clear, upfront objectives, scheduling appropriate time for fact-based debate and alignment with the right people, and disciplined follow through.
- Coach and develop the finance team with experienced use of delegation, coaching, team building, and management succession planning.
- As applicable, lead special projects, e.g., acquisition activity, strategic plan development.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 12+ years relevant experience
- Experience leading high performing teams
- Demonstrated analytical skillset and financial statement management
- Uncompromising integrity, transparency, and the courage to speak up

- Master’s degree in accounting or finance
- Proven ability to develop and inspire teams
- Experience working in a global environment, multi-national organization
- Advanced communication skills, equally effective in technical and business discussions

- Business process efficiency, supported by technology trends and organization savvy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Expectation to periodically join management committee market visits, customer meetings will lead to some domestic travel.
- 1-2 international trips per year
