The Regional Marketing Specialist – China plays a crucial role in executing and supporting marketing strategies across mainland China. This role focuses on adapting global initiatives to the local market, overseeing region-specific campaigns, supporting product launches, and collaborating closely with the sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Chinese market landscape, excellent communication skills (Mandarin and English), and a proactive, agile approach to marketing execution.

- General Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing and advertising campaigns aligned with global strategy but tailored for China’s unique market dynamics.
- Coordinate marketing projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to regional budget allocations.
- Work with the internal creative team and external local agencies to develop regionally relevant content and campaign materials.
- Analyze campaign performance data to optimize strategies, with a focus on local digital platforms (e.g., WeChat, Weibo, Baidu).
- Align internal stakeholders and provide regular reporting on regional progress to the Director, Product Marketing.
- Maintain brand consistency while adapting messaging and visuals to resonate with the local audience.
- Manage local vendors, translators, and event partners to support marketing execution.
- Support translation and localization of global materials into Simplified Chinese as needed.
- Monitor and address incoming inquiries from local customers and partners, including those via email and regional platforms.
- Stay up to date on local trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory guidelines affecting marketing and communication in China.
- Regional Marketing – China Specific:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, webinars, and regional events to raise brand awareness and support business development in China.Leverage local platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Zhihu, Baidu, etc.) for outbound campaigns and content distribution.
- Align closely with the China-based sales team to drive lead generation and sales enablement.
- Regularly attend sales team meetings to align marketing initiatives with regional sales targets and priorities.
- Develop outbound lead generation strategies tailored to Chinese customer segments.
- Track and report on leads using CRM systems and assist in refining lead scoring models to fit local buyer behavior.
- Educate and support the sales team on marketing-generated leads and lead management best practices.
- Collaborate with channel partners and distributors in China to coordinate joint marketing campaigns and co-branded activities.
- Be the regional point of contact for marketing, ensuring China’s marketing execution is aligned with global brand strategy and objectives.
- Navigate China’s regulatory landscape for digital marketing and advertising, ensuring compliance with all local laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of marketing experience in China, with a focus on B2B, event coordination, digital marketing, and lead generation.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); strong writing/editing skills in Simplified Chinese.
- Familiarity with key Chinese digital platforms and tools, including Baidu SEO/SEM, WeChat advertising, etc.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalents).
- Willingness and ability to travel within China for trade shows, customer meetings, and team collaboration.
