Leads legal specialist in keeping the company and/or business units compliant by anticipating and helping to circumvent problems. Manages legal services supporting acquisition processes and strategic planning, overseeing extensive research and analysis, and participating in special projects. Ensures sound counsel is provided to clients and leads processes to keep them up to date on new laws and regulations applicable to the business. Manages the provision of advice on labor relations, employee contracts, tax issues, suits against the corporation, employee injury, patents, and contracts with suppliers of raw materials. Oversees legal contracting support to marketing, operations, research and development and sales groups with respect to confidentiality, promotion, consulting, sales, service and supply agreements. Plans, manages and tracks integration activity to meet Reviews confidentiality, promotion, consulting, sales, service and supply agreements for legal, business and ethical risk. Oversees negotiations and reviews drafts of applicable agreements. Ensures that all standard operating procedures are current, accurate and complete and are being audited at least annually.
