Job Description
Role Purpose:
Engineering Intern will work with Life Cycle Services Business Unit to work in Industrial Automation Projects with the systems like Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS) & Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
The successful candidate will receive Soft Skills, Technical Training through eLearning, Virtual & Classroom training, and then the Interns will be assigned to projects, where he/she will work under the direction of an experienced Project/Service Lead or Senior Engineer.
Engineering Intern will be involved in various stages of a project, starting from its design, specification, programming, simulation, and testing, of automation systems.
Period:
Minimum duration of the internship program will be 3 months
What Intern will Learn & Do:
- Intern gains knowledge about industry overview, multiple functions and business units of Rockwell Automation
- Opportunity to interact with senior leadership in the organization
- Intern receives training on Soft skills
- Intern receives Technical training on PLC & HMI
- Intern will be involved in active projects, in one or more of the following functions..
o Control Panel Design
o Preparing Bill of Material (BOM)
o Verifying Electrical Drawings
o PLC Logic Programming
o HMI Screen Development and Programming
o Communication between devices (EtherNet)
o System documentation and Manual development
o Simulation of Programs
- Project Readout and presentation
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education (SKEE) Expectations
- Pursuing a full time Bachelor Engineering Degree (preferably Final Year Student) in any of the following functions like Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication.
- Good knowledge and understanding of core subjects with basic knowledge of Digital Electronics and Programming Languages
