The packaging expert for Advanced Wound Management, with the accountability for the artwork and packaging standards within the GBU, they will lead and develop the Packaging team to ensure both timely and compliant NPI and packaging changes into any manufacturing facility within the AWM organisation.
Responsibilities:
- To lead a team delivering high quality, timely product Line extension and packaging development projects, and required documentation for both NPI and changes to existing packs, through effective project management disciplines and good product /pack / process design.
- Develop strong partnerships with all business functions within the organisation, including Innovation, Marketing, Regulatory affairs, Production, Supply Chain, HSE, Quality departments, as well as external Outsource suppliers, Packaging suppliers, external customers, Group companies and Agencies.
- Accountability for the artwork and packaging standards within the GBU, ensuring that the team and business keep updated with industry changes.
- To perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality Systems standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485.
- To apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures.
- Lead and actively promote the technical standards and packaging standards for the Wound Management business to ensure continuous development in the manufacturing quality capability.
- To proactively manage and develop the performance of direct reports and team members through performance management, calibration, resource review & planning, capability, disciplinary, training and development to meet the needs of the business.
- Shape the future packaging requirements for changes in technology or legislation and manage training or recruitment programs accordingly, providing a stimulating learning environment to ensure the future professional development of technical and packaging excellence for the Wound Management requirements.
- Management and control of the NPI / Packaging expense budget.
- Identify and implement cost saving opportunities to contribute to the overall COG savings for the Wound Management GBU. Calculate and agree FFC with Marketing teams for Line extensions and product changes.
- To apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures.
- Responsible for the compilation and submission of the S&N Producer responsibility obligations (packaging waste) regulations and WEEE directive, for UK, Export and European Markets.
