Your role:
Local Medical Information Professional is to provide a high quality medical information support via medical communication platform following relavent policies and SOPs, maintain and update information of local products, make collection and delivery of customer insight regularly, develop and review SOP on products knowledge, ensure that all unsolicited medical inquiries from customers are responded in highest medical standard, provides the stakeholders with up-to-date and scientific information management.
OPERATIONS:
- Establish and maintain a high quality Medical Information service to ensure all medical inquiries received by the company are handled according to the global standard and in line with local regulations
- Manage, create and review all Standard Responses that meet the pre-defined quality threshold within the defined time-lines, ensuring that responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet customers’ needs
- Perform oversight of services provided by external Medical Information vendor and manage need for training or support
- Ensure consistent use of the Medical Information database, oneGMI (or equivalent), with high quality documentation of inquiries, responses, approval processes, and by appropriately managing all documents; provide training to all local users
- Serve as a best practice resource and as an acknowledged expert and trusted authority within the company for Medical Information
- Ensure reconciliation between Adverse Event reports and Product Complaints with local Patient Safety and Quality colleagues, according to the established processes
- Perform regular quality control review of medical inquiry management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, with a clear sense of how to protect company reputation and prevent allegations
- Support Medical Information activities at key strategic congresses; coach and collaborate with local colleagues
- Monitors, analyzes and delivers medical information to stakeholders and contributes to medical strategy in brand / launch strategy.
- Optimize inquiry-receiving channels to increase inquiry handling efficiency and HCP accessibility for unsolicited inquiry submission
DATA GENERATION AND SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION:
- Provide the company with up-to-date scientific information, in response to internal requests
- Drive awareness of Medical Information, both to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Analyze Medical Information inquiries and prepare regular insight reports for internal stakeholders
- Drive forward the delivery of all Standard Responses that meet the pre-defined quality threshold within the defined time-lines, ensuring that responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet customers’ needs
Who you are:
Education:
- Minimal Educational Background: Graduate preferably in Science or allied branches
- University degree (Bachelor’s) required, preferably in scientific field of relevance to position
- Secondary / advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD) required
- Scientific and / or clinical training in area of relevance to position strongly preferred
Working experience:
- Minimal Experience: 2-5 Years in pharmaceutical industry is advantageous
- Professional knowledge on clinical medicine and pharmaceuticals
