As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.
Job overview:
As a member of Qualcomm Windows Platform Software Compatibility and Customer Support team, responsible for dealing with customer feedback on Windows software compatibility issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for testing and debugging Windows platform application compatibility, power and performance problems.
- Responsible for compiling and porting native applications on Windows platform.
- Responsible for developing and optimizing Windows platform application.
Requirements:
- 6-8 years related working experience preferred. Familiar with programming and debugging techniques of Windows platform.
- Familiar with Visual Studio development environment; Have a solid C/C++ foundation, familiar with Python programming.
- Excellent learning ability and problem-solving ability; Can optimize, debug, and solve problems, logical thinking and rigorous.
- Experience in ARM64 and assembly is preferred.
- Experience in embedded device driver development is preferred.
- Familiar with the operating mechanism of Windows system is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics, etc
- Excellent English writing, reading skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
