Your role:
- Owns the warehousing operations in her/his scope, securing inbound goods receiving, storage and handling are executed efficiently with focus on highest quality and patient safety, end-to-end optimization and in full compliance with processes defined and with quality, regulatory, sustainability, legal and trade compliance obligations.
- Leads warehouse employees managing operations and creates a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including identification and management of occupational risk, provision of information and training, review of performance and provision of sufficient resources to maintain an effective H&S program.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, integration and automation within the logistics and transportation function, leveraging technology and data analytics to drive efficiency gains.
- Ensures the quality assurance of master data and transactional data throughout the entirety of his/her operational activities, maintaining a stringent adherence to established protocols and standards to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all created and updated records.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on logistics matters, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and initiatives.
- Leads and participates in large projects for cost savings, process improvements, and infrastructure changes, driving strategic initiatives forward and delivering measurable results, including overseeing purchasing, and receiving support for all site departments.
- Develops logistics strategies in line with business development, leveraging industry expertise and market insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while defining tasks and assigning responsibilities to team members.
- Leads the physical distribution team, facilitating daily operational tasks, defining priorities, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration while overseeing field inventory and logistics strategies in partnership with Business Units.
- Ensures sufficient warehouse capacity based on forecasted sales volumes, coordinating with internal stakeholders to optimize resource allocation, mitigate risks, and meet customer demands.
- Provides input for procurement tenders and participate in the selection process for logistics service providers and other vendors, conducting thorough assessments and negotiations to secure strategic partnerships, and monitor metrics for quality and productivity goals.
- Oversees the analysis of shipment patterns and aims for more efficiency where possible, collaborating closely with commercial officers and other stakeholders to optimize logistics operations and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Devises field inventory strategies in partnership with Business Units, collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams to meet customer demands, optimize inventory levels, define tasks and assign responsibilities to team members according to their skills and expertise.
- Monitors metrics for quality and productivity goals, utilizing LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence and maximizes performance while providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
- Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers, ensuring strong vendor relationships, driving continuous improvement in supplier performance, and managing relationships with suppliers to build stronger relationships with high-performance suppliers while mitigating risks with poor-performing suppliers.
- Manages talent across the team, while driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and ensuring effective operational management.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Supply Chain, Transport, Logistics, Operations, Physical Distribution or equivalent.
