To serve as an experienced, individual contributor on projects and assignments that are
complex in nature and that support and enhance Caterpillar product performance, durability, reliability, quality,
and serviceability.
What You Will Do:
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- In this role, you will develop deep expertise of knowledge on Caterpillar’s products, technologies, processes, services and systems.
- Facilitate strong collaboration among Engineering Process Partners, Product Engineering Managers, NPI managers and provide leadership to key Product Development Excellence Initiatives and projects.
- Convert top level customer and regulatory requirements established by the Product and Legal teams into optimised technical requirements.
- Create system level DFMEA and DVP&R, executing validation plan and collaborating with key Engineering process partners to enable world class Power System solutions to be brought to market
- Perform product and process maintenance for technical issue management, production support, customer technical support etc.

- Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.
- Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in an accredited Engineering, Internal Combustion Engines, Vehicle Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine structure, FMEA, engine validation, etc
- Experience in engine mechanical development, robustness development, technical issue management
- Excellent in problem analysis and solving skill
- Creative, keep interest in taking challenge and pressure
- Diligent, proactive, self-motived and open-minded
- Able to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to build effective relationships across a matrix organization.
- Good to Excellent in English (oral & written)
Desired Qualifications:
- Significant experience of Engine Systems Integration and is recognized within the company as a leader within the field.
- Comprehensive Caterpillar engine system experience in IPSD.
- Experience with end-customer applications.
- Fundamental understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies and tools.
- Experience and insights into the future power system technologies and industry trends.
- Strategic thinker.
- Technical credibility.
- Understand the business and its impact on technology and the customers' business and needs.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
