Technician II, R&D

Job Responsibilities

1. Executes, with some supervision, experimental activities on reactive polymer systems characterization applying high quality standards.

2. Prepare material samples and make specimens for characterization and testing in the R&D material science lab.

3. Builds / installs auxiliary equipment in consultation with supervisor

4. Arranges experimental data in tables and graphs to identify possible relationships.

5. Reports experiments and results both verbally and in laboratory books and explains to team members the details of her/his work.

6. Be able to document the experiments data and results using basic Office software.

7. Prepares the work and reports with some guidance of a supervisor.

8. Maintains timely, accurate and (witnessed) lab notebooks in order to provide the records required to properly execute/address all IP questions and needs and to safeguard experimental data.

9. Contributes to others’ projects. Efficient running of the laboratory operations with the highest standard of integrity, EHS and practices good housekeeping

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 2+ years working experience in chemical companies or labs. Fresh graduate needs to demonstrate proficiency in polymer or chemistry subjects and experimental skills in university.

2. Demonstration appreciation to protection of intellectual property.

3. Strong commitment to safety, providing reliable technical data & lab notebook records, good teamwork and ability to quickly learn and grasp technical knowledge as needed.

4. Able to read & write technical reports/materials in English.

5. Personal computer skills in Excel, Word and etc.

6. Strong commitment to work efficiency. Show proactive ownership in teamwork.

7. Good communication skills and flexible to multi-tasks handling.

8. Strong willingness to stay in lab and enjoying experimental and QC related work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working experience in epoxy technology related industries, e.g., wind, composite, adhesives, casting, coatings and civil engineering.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or Polymer Science related;

Minimum CET-4 certification for English.
