The Technical Sales Specialist – China serves as a regional technical expert responsible for delivering application-specific support to customers and the sales team throughout mainland China. This includes assessing inspection needs, proposing tailored solutions, demonstrating technology capabilities, and managing both pre-sales and after-sales activities. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, a deep understanding of regional industry dynamics, and a hands-on approach to customer engagement. Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential. Expect frequent travel across China (approximately 50%).

- Act as the technical liaison for the China sales team to support commercial efforts and help achieve annual sales targets.
- Conduct on-site and remote customer engagements, including technical demonstrations, product trials, and training sessions.
- Represent Eddyfi Technologies at regional tradeshows, seminars, and industry events.
- Deliver responsive and knowledgeable after-sales support for Chinese clients, including managing customer support cases and coordinating with global support teams when needed.
- Understand and present multiple Eddyfi Technologies solutions (e.g., NDT, robotics, advanced inspection systems) to provide holistic, solution-based offerings tailored to the China market.
- Provide structured technical feedback to product management and R&D teams to support continuous product improvement, grounded in real-world customer use cases.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute regional product strategies and increase visibility through local field activities.
- Support channel partners and distributors in China by providing technical enablement, training, and joint customer support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system regarding sales opportunities, customer interactions, and support activities.
- Actively gather customer insights and market trends specific to China, and communicate them to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Chinese regulations and standards related to product application, transport, and safety.
- 3+ years of successful experience in a technical sales or after-sales support role in a B2B/industrial setting (NDT, robotics, or inspection technologies highly preferred).
- Proven success working with industrial clients in China, including understanding of local business culture and decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with applications across key Chinese industries such as oil & gas, energy, transportation, aerospace, or manufacturing.
- Experience supporting high-tech equipment, including software and hardware integration in customer environments.
- Ability to manage complex territories and large accounts across multiple regions/provinces.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written); strong technical communication and presentation skills in both languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an engineering mindset to address a wide range of application challenges.
- Comfortable speaking with stakeholders across all levels—from technicians on the floor to executives in the boardroom.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining alignment with global teams.
- Skilled in CRM systems for territory management and reporting (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent).
- Strategic regional thinker, with a collaborative approach aligned with global objectives.
- Willingness to travel frequently across China, sometimes with short notice.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Additional training in NDT or inspection technologies is a strong asset.
- Other language skills are a plus, but not required.
