Staff Product Marketing Manager - IoT AI Software

We are looking for a highly skilled IoT AI Software Product Manager with a strong algorithmic background in Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), and Vision Language Action Models (VLAs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record at a leading large model company and be capable of driving ecosystem and business collaborations within the LLM/VLM/VLA domain. The individual will be key in extending Qualcomm’s ecosystem for IoT AI-powered solutions, including AI Box, aligning with our long-term goal of cultivating an open, thriving AI algorithm ecosystem in the Industrial and Edge IoT markets. This role will be crucial in helping us shape a path forward where we empower external algorithm partners rather than competing directly with them, ensuring sustainable business growth for Qualcomm in the Industrial and Edge IoT sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with the IoT AI SW Product Management team and cross-functional leaders to execute product strategy and roadmap in the Industrial and Edge IoT markets, including AI Box.
• Establish and drive business and ecosystem partnerships with leading LLM/VLM/VLA companies to expand Qualcomm's software ecosystem within IoT, including AI Box sector.
• Identify and explore new IoT business opportunities by leveraging existing models or collaborating on joint development with LLM/VLM/VLA ecosystem players, specifically targeting AI Box applications.
• Support cross-functional teams (Engineering, BU, CE) in the integration of LLM/VLM/VLA technologies into Qualcomm’s existing and future IoT and AI Box platforms.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration across product and engineering teams for successful product development and delivery.
• Manage product launches and communicate effectively to customers, vendors, and senior management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in LLM/VLM/VLA algorithms, offering insights into the integration of emerging AI technologies into Qualcomm’s IoT and AI Box portfolio.
• Track industry developments of LLM/VLM/VLA in IoT domains, ensuring Qualcomm remains competitive in both technology and business collaborations.
• Develop and present technical and business strategies, including roadmaps, to key stakeholders and customers to gain alignment and buy-in.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in AI or machine learning algorithm development, particularly in LLM/VLM/VLA domains.
• Experience in a leading large model company with direct exposure to ecosystem development and business collaboration.
• Strong understanding of algorithm trade-offs (e.g., performance, accuracy, power consumption) in the context of Industrial and Edge IoT applications.
• Proven success in managing AI software products and driving go-to-market strategies, with a focus on partner-driven ecosystems in IoT and AI Box.
• Familiarity with popular AI toolchains such as NVIDIA’s TensorRT for optimizing AI models.
• Experience in building and operating data feedback loops for AI systems, as exemplified by concepts like Tesla’s data-driven closed-loop system for autonomous driving.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to internal teams, customers, and executive management.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with large-scale AI model development, including training, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in LLM/VLM/VLA application development, e.g. Fine-tuning, RAG, Prompt engineering technologies.
• Deep understanding of LLM/VLM/VLA technologies such as GPT, Stable Diffusion, Llama, Qwen, Deepseek, SigLIP, VILA, OpenVLA, and Physical Intelligence π.
• Track record of establishing strategic partnerships and collaborating with both external vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and innovations in AI and ML ecosystems, with a strong focus on AI-driven IoT solutions.
