Your role at Clorox:
The Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the customer business plan with Sam’s Club, Costco , Walmart and other Club channel business in China. They drive the vision and the plan for long-term growth with the account, aligning both the customer and Clorox. The role works cross-functionally to deliver against the plan and is responsible for successful execution with the customer.
In this role, you will:
1. Club channel Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and profitability for Sam’s Club, Costco ,Walmart and other Club channel.
- Identify new opportunities for product placement, promotions, and category expansion within assigned channel.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
2. Customer Planning and Management
- Build and deliver 3-year strategic, omni-channel plans. Leverage Clorox CCP process to leverage scale across club geographies.
- Use planning process to influence and lead cross-functionally with the PMU – Marketing, Insights, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance – to deliver results.
- Establish clear financial performance metrics leveraging customer P&L and can plan and manage budget. Enable profitable growth across categories.
- Utilize data and analytics to forecast demand and establish operational KPIs.
- Manage the trade budget according to policy, including payments, proof of performance, budget and accruals.
3. Customer Plan Execution
- Lead execution of volume, net sales, AMPS and profit objectives.
- Effectively develop joint business plans and drives execution against agreements. Leverage joint-KPIs to align on mutual definition of success.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional agreements while ensuring compliance with account’s requirements.
- Identify risks / opportunities. Drive action against to ensure delivery of growth.
4. Customer Development
- Understands the Customer’s organization and can successfully penetrate relationships across levels. Develop a customer relationship management plan on paper and engages internal resources to develop relationships at the appropriate level with the customer (cross-functionally).
- Articulate the customer’s business model and the different ways to effectively influence them; build support internally to address the customer’s needs on their terms.
What we look for:
Experience and Skills Required:
- 8-10+ years’ experience within Club channel sales in China, preferably in CPG, FMCG, or retail.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including supply chain, merchandising, and vendor compliance.
- A basic understanding of ecommerce, O2O and all other digital/physical shopping channels.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (as needed for buyer meetings, trade shows, and store visits).
- University degree required.
- Fluency in English is a must.
