Ensures compliance with product specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing process needs during the new product development and until the formal product release is safely achieved. Responsible for the quality of the project launch as well as the quality tasks of the project. Monitors the performance of safe launch and approves the exit of the safe launch phase. Collaborates with manufacturing in house and/or outsourced quality for any quality performance needed.
About the Job
- Responsible for quality metrics & deliverables according to Littelfuse and customer specific requirements throughout the NPD 5-Phase product development 40%
- Manage the effective oversight of NPD quality activities as well as early involvement in project planning for quality and actively participate in the development of Design and Process FMEAs as well as design reviews 25%
- Assess product development & qualification results and responsible for the evaluation of Quality Gates and define the product safe launch 15%
- Drive for quality risks assessment and deploy problems solving methodology (8D’s) for issues occurring during new product in the various phases of the project 10%
- Facilitate and review the quality and content of the PPAP documentation and responsible for PSW submission to customer 10%
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
- Engineering Degree: Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Electronic, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical degree holder is a highly preferred
- 8+ total years in Quality, Process, Manufacturing (foundry/assembly/electrical test), or Engineering function
- Knowledge on semiconductor foundry technology, assembly process and production, final test process and product engineering know-how, semiconductor reliability theories & methods
- Practical experience of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- Good understanding of quality requirements such as 8D, new product development process, quality planning, qualification release criteria, change management
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of quality tools including cause-and-effect diagram, check sheet, control chart, histogram, Pareto chart, scatter diagram, affinity diagram, fault tree diagram, control plan, and failure modes-and-effects analysis
- Sound knowledge on ISO9000 / IATF16949 / VDA, automotive experience and exposure is added advantage
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Able to interface effectively with associates and customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to provide quality interface at any level
- Previous experience with multinational corporations is an advantage
- Team oriented and responsive
- Be able to work under high pressure
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment with different time zones
- Willing to travel
