Role Summary
As Senior Sales Order Processing Manager, you will lead the global order processing function and be directly responsible for managing order execution in one of the Top 10 markets. The role combines strategic leadership and hands-on operational responsibility. You will oversee the outsourced partner (DBS) handling the majority of order processing, while driving continuous improvement, operational resilience and standardisation across both Top 10 and non–Top 10 markets. Your role ensures customer orders flow reliably, exceptions are minimised and all stakeholders are supported through a high-performance, low-friction order fulfilment process.
Key Responsibilities
Global Process Ownership and Partner Oversight
- Provide end-to-end leadership of the global sales order process across all markets
- Manage and develop the relationship with DBS, ensuring clarity on expectations, service levels and ways of working
- Monitor daily operations across DBS and resolve escalations with speed and structure
- Maintain visibility on process adherence, data accuracy and exception handling performance
- Lead regular service reviews, manage continuous improvement actions and ensure DBS operates within agreed frameworks
Market Execution – Direct Ownership for One Top 10 Market
- Personally own the sales order process for one Top 10 market, acting as the main contact for DBS and local stakeholders
- Validate order quality, completeness, pricing and shipment flow for high-priority or complex orders
- Proactively resolve order blocks, fulfilment gaps or system issues that impact customer delivery
- Collaborate with commercial, logistics and supply chain colleagues in the market to ensure reliable order flow
Continuous Improvement Across All Markets
- Identify improvement opportunities across both Top 10 and non–Top 10 markets to simplify, automate and stabilise the order process
- Lead initiatives to reduce manual interventions, shorten cycle times and enhance first-time-right order quality
- Promote adoption of standard tools, reporting templates and best practices across markets
- Work with DBS to introduce process enhancements, improve visibility and reduce recurring exceptions
- Support preparation for future system changes, process transitions or market scaling activities
Governance and Risk Management
- Ensure order flows comply with operating procedures, commercial terms and data integrity requirements
- Track and resolve exceptions systematically through S&OE and functional review meetings
- Provide timely and structured communication of issues that impact fulfilment or revenue recognition
- Monitor master data, pricing accuracy and transaction control in close coordination with finance and planning
Team Leadership and Market Support
- Guide and coach other in-market sales order management roles in Top 10 markets
- Build alignment and consistency in execution while allowing for market-specific needs
- Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across markets and with DBS
- Set clear expectations, roles and KPIs to maintain accountability and performance
Experience and Skills
- 6 to 10 years of experience in sales order management or customer fulfilment
- Proven track record managing third-party partners or shared service providers
- Strong knowledge of ERP order flows, commercial execution and fulfilment integration
- Experienced in identifying process inefficiencies and delivering sustainable improvements
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on market support
- Clear communicator who builds trust with diverse internal and external stakeholders
