About the Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our payroll processes for China. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and provide a top-notch employee experience. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our payroll vendor and contribute to the implementation of our global payroll strategy.
Responsibilities
- Accurately review and submit China payroll data to meet processing deadlines.
- Adhere to all China payroll processes and controls to ensure compliance.
- Ensure timely completion of payroll payments, including deductions for taxes, benefits, and other items.
- Provide an exceptional employee experience in payroll delivery and resolve payroll-related cases.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Produce monthly payroll reconciliations and support GL delivery to Finance partners.
- Assist in implementing the global payroll strategy, including data migration, parallel payroll runs, and integration testing.
- Work closely with the payroll vendor to meet SLA targets and deadlines.
- Coordinate administrative steps for payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Solid years of experience in handling China payroll and compliance.
- Knowledge of payroll processes in other APAC countries is a plus.
- Experience supporting APAC payroll transformation projects.
- Proficiency in using Workday and associated payroll integrations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building personal networks.
- Deep understanding of APAC payroll operations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with employees, team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
