1. Lead to provide Product Engineering support to Operations, Supply chain, Sales and Application engineering departments.
2. Develop innovative design concepts employing the latest design and manufacturing technology as applicable. Demonstrate ability to follow through with verification and implementation of design concepts into production.
3. Develop and maintain product bill of materials, product user manuals, and assembly/test standards. Operate and effectively utilize 3-D computer aided design (CAD) systems, analysis tools, and a data management network for design and documentation generation and control.
4. Facilitate prompt, thorough and accurate engineering change notice (ECN) implementation, Non Conformance Request (NCR) dispositioning and root cause analysis (RCA)
5. Guide and produce detailed mechanical drawings per ANSI Y14.5 standard
6. Support vendor development activities such as new vendor qualification and first article qualification. Components are typically fabricated or cast metal.
7. Identify and implement product cost reduction ideas
8. Follow relevant Actuation Technologies standards pertaining to documentation control, revision, design methods, materials and analysis.
9. Collect, maintain, and organize project file documentation in proper order and in accordance with Actuation Technologies Engineering standards.
10. Interpret and apply geometric positioning and tolerancing standards to complex assemblies in accordance with Actuation Technologies drafting and design standards.
11. Interact and communicate effectively with the global Design Engineering and Manufacturing organizations as required.
1. BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Automation, or Process Equipment & Control is required.
2. 5 years design experience in mechanical, process control industry, or similar backgrounds.
3. A motivated self-starter with an understanding of design engineering fundamentals and their application.
4. Creative ability required with solid analytical skills.
5. Individual must possess effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
6. 3D CAD experience/knowledge required
7. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Previous usage of MS PowerPoint and MS Project a plus.
8. Proficiency in written technical English is required.
1. Design experience in valves or valve actuation, process control industry, or similar backgrounds desired.
2. Previous experience with Solid Edge and Oracle is desirable.
3. General knowledge of metal fabrication techniques is a plus.
4. Working knowledge of ASME, ANSI, GB/T and other industry codes and standards a plus.
