About the Role
- Meets or exceeds business target plans
- Strategically, independently & proactively undertakes marketing and business generation activities with brokers & key accounts.
- Identifies target risks/accounts or segments and executes on these opportunities
- Grows the business in the target segments of medium to large corporate accounts
- Proactively manages renewal portfolio and increases share of wallet on existing business
- Work closely with CDM, Property, and Engineering colleagues to grow new
- Willingly undertakes additional tasks and projects in support of the overall objectives
- Maintains a high market profile
- Underwrites and executes profitable General Liability business
- Maintains a high level of technical expertise and uses this to grow the portfolio
- Accurately reports progress against plan in accordance with the Swiss Re Corporate
- Provides timely and appropriate service
- Strict following with underwriting authorities and group guidance
- Works with cross functional teams in development and execution of business
- Pro-actively develops and strengthens client relationships with a view to enlarging business
- Ensures the integrity of data in the relevant information, pricing and analysis systems
- Manages the timely and accurate preparation of documentation
- Provide technical coaching support to Junior Underwriters
- Contributes to regional strategies and marketing plans
About the Team
You will report to Head Casualty China and your primary focus will be market and underwrite profitable Casualty business strategically in accordance with the local and divisional strategies and marketing plans.
About You
- Relevant degree level qualifications or higher will be well considered
- At least 8 years' work experience related with Casualty business in insurance companies or international brokers.
- Well understanding of China market and our competitors' appetite/capacity/advantages
- Demonstrated provision and implementation of underwriting solutions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on growth targets
- Good cooperation with cross functions to develop profitable business
- Client focused with strong marketing skills –sales orientation
- Ability to develop and maintain profitable client relationship
- High level of computer literacy
