Job Description:
As a 3D Artist/ Renders your main responsibilities will be to create 3d renders to be used as assets for our website, social media platforms, packaging, trade shows, and retail environments. You will be equally responsible for high-end digital retouching for photography and in many cases, compositing 3d renders into them as well. Other duties include creating 3d cables, animations, video editing, and organizing/maintaining our Digital Asset Library to company standards.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Creating 3d renders in Keyshot to be used as assets for our website, social media platforms, packaging, trade shows, and retail environments.
- Being able to produce high-end digital retouching for photography and in many cases, compositing 3d renders into them as well.
- Creating 3d cables in Cinema 4D, Maya, or SolidWorks.
- Creating animations and outputting files in AfterEffects.
- Editing videos and outputting desired files in Premiere Pro.
- Organizing and maintaining our Digital Asset Library to company standards.
- Having expert knowledge of Photoshop including best practices for advanced retouching, compositing, layer style techniques, tools, and masking techniques.
- Accepting the challenge of exploring and gaining expertise in the growing list of design tools for rendering and retouching.
- Collaborating with Marketing, Innovation Creative Group (ICG), and Innovation Design Group (IDG) to incorporate feedback on product use and representation.
- Having the ability to give and take constructive criticism.
- Being able to receive and follow directions from your manager.
- Being able to see a project through on your own from start to finish to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Being a team player by continuously contributing to the collective knowledge of the Studio for the purpose of elevating everyone’s skill set.

- Having the ability to output files to the company guide lines and standards (including retouching, color correcting, cropping, optimizing, and uploading images into the database).
- Removing imperfections, compositing images, and color-correcting images as directed.
- Using best judgment practices to execute tasks required to get the desired image outcome while retouching and rendering.
- Preparing, naming, and handing off final images to Production according to their requested specifications.
- Being able to backup all working files to the server daily to ensure that no work is lost.
- Uploading all finalized 3d models to the Digital Asset Library for other members of the team to access.
- Being able to manage your time efficiently by using the best techniques for the job at hand.
- Correctly naming and uploading all final deliverables to the Digital Asset Management system.
- Working with Traffic and Marketing to prioritize image requests based on business priorities and scheduled deadlines.
- Aiding and assisting freelance resources as needed to ensure the success of all projects that are assigned to them.
- Maintaining the Digital Asset Library for all final images that are organized and accessible to all creative staff members.
- Proactively managing projects with Traffic and Marketing to control feedback loops and alert teams of any risk to the deadline or competing feedback.
- Alerting your manager in a timely fashion if any projects are at risk of not meeting deadlines.
- Being able to manage your workload and vet project prioritization to ensure resources spent are aligned with the business case.

Keyshot requirements:
- Must be familiar with Keyshot 9 (and up) and HDR editor
- Ability to import CAD data into Keyshot
- Understanding of different materials and finishes in Keyshot
- Familiar with 2D & 3D compositing
- Familiar with best practices in Keyshot for matching perspectives and angles
- Knowledge of Keyshot animation is a plus
- Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001; understand and fully support the IS0 system.
- Comply with the Health and Safety requirements of Belkin.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a 3D Artist & Retoucher for print and/or a web-related environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or comparable work experience demonstrating ongoing professional development in technology) is required.
- Ability to read/write/speak fluent English
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, and Bridge).
- Expert knowledge of Keyshot 9 (and above).
- Able to work in both PC and MAC environments are a must.
- Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya, and SolidWorks is a plus.
- Able to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly detailed oriented, possess excellent communication skills, assertiveness, self-starter, ability to keep projects moving on predetermined production schedules, and have strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot.
- Workfront knowledge a plus
