We are looking for an experienced Regional Product Strategist to bridge our life sciences data offerings with the specific needs and behaviors of Chinese biopharma companies. This role requires deep understanding of the China biopharma landscape combined with product strategy expertise and mandatory life sciences background. You'll drive product-market fit and revenue growth by working closely with regional commercial teams to identify market opportunities and inform product direction.
Based in Beijing, reporting to the VP of Product Management(US) and working with key stakeholders across BD/Sales, Customer Experience, and Product Management, you should demonstrate the ability to translate China market insights and customer needs into actionable product strategies.
You'll drive market expansion in one of the world's most dynamic biopharma markets. This role offers the opportunity to shape how Chinese pharmaceutical companies access and utilize research data while building strong relationships across the ecosystem. You'll work with a collaborative, data-driven organization that values market insights and customer-centric innovation.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years' experience in Product Strategy or Market Intelligence with proven track record in life sciences or data-driven industries
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent combination of experience with biopharma industry background
- Deep China biopharma market knowledge including major players, research institutions, and market dynamics
- Fluency in both Chinese and English for client interactions and market research
- Life sciences expertise with understanding of drug discovery, development processes, and how pharmaceutical companies evaluate data sources
- Cultural competency and ability to navigate Chinese business culture and relationship-building
Essential Skills
- Experience translating market needs into product requirements
- Understanding of B2B sales processes and customer success metrics
- Comfortable with AI both as a tool for day-to-day productivity and in leveraging AI capabilities for product development and enhancement
- Strong communication and presentation skills for biopharma executives
- Ability to work cross-functionally in matrix environment
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

- Product Strategy: Identify gaps between current offerings and China market needs, work with product managers to prioritize China-relevant enhancements
- Commercial Collaboration: to align product and commercial strategy via account plans, opportunity assessment and attending industry events
- Customer Experience Partnership: Analyze usage patterns for Chinese clients, identify expansion opportunities, and support adoption strategies
- Market Development: Create China-specific product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with local decision-makers
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Facilitate between product development and commercial execution, marketing and consulting, providing regular market insights to internal teams
