This is a cross-functioning position that is responsible for overseeing and supervising various operations on the ramp which is related to inbound and outbound flights. Ensure that these tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Ensure flights depart and arrive on time. Coordinate and communicate between ground services, flight crews, and air traffic control timely. This role requires strong organizational and coordination skills, emergency response capabilities, and a deep understanding of aviation operations to ensure the efficiency and safety of flight operations. This position is based in Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK).
Job overview and responsibilities:
Perform a supervision of various operational aircraft service duties assigned at the ramp and terminal. Supervision tasks include, but are not limited to, aircraft marshaling, gate allocation, baggage handling & connection, cargo processing, loading & offloading, fueling, and aircraft cleaning & appearance. Ensure all processes comply with safety and efficiency standards.Support standard work to achieve On Time and safe performance.
Routine customer and ramp service duties and responsibilities. In addition, RSA may perform other duties as assigned and may perform other functions within the scope of their duties to meet station operating needs.
Responsible for delay prevention and cancel impact mitigation, through issue resolution, or escalation to station leadership as required. Assist in arranging passenger protection, ground transportation, hotel accommodations and related services during irregular operations.
The position will require multi-tasking in communicating and coordinating with multiple parties including the NOC, local airport authority and working with multiple systems for different situation.
Prepare flight documents including operational briefing package, loading instructions etc.
Interaction with customers in our lobbies and at gates, helping them with check in and boarding process. Provide friendly, professional, confident, and insightful service to help resolve customer travel issues and make their experience memorable.
The position involves team based manual work as well as reading and interpreting reference materials, instructions, procedures and policies.
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent required.Effective communication skills
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work to strict timelines.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain credentials necessary for the position.
Must be comfortable working with heights.
Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need.
Must be able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.
Must be legally authorized to work in China for any employer without sponsorship.
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
