This Position reports to:
Product ManagerYour role and responsibilities
You will be working as a Product Manager for Line China LBL ED and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Buildings Division based in China. In this role you will be reporting to the LBL ED Product Management Manager and will support line manager to define and implement products/solutions’ strategies aimed at developing and growing the business in China and other selected global markets.
This role is contributing to the ELSB in Beijing.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting line manager to define the product & portfolio long-term strategy, to align the product roadmap with business goals and customer needs, and to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Supporting line manager and portfolio product specialists to collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market plans.
- Supporting line manager to deeply understand selected industrials/applications’ requirements and define ABB’s solutions
- Understand market and customer requirements, and their impacts on the offering portfolios and solutions. Conduct valuation of market trend and competitor analysis in terms of application technology and solutions to bring insights within LBL ED.
- Taking leading product management role in defined new solutions to develop existing and new markets. Supporting portfolio product specialist to understand customer needs and define new product requirements for key applications.
- Deliver training on solutions to internal teams and customers. Supporting Product Marketing Management Team to define product pricing, which is related to the products produced in China. Supporting Product Management and Sales team to participates in customer meetings.
Qualifications for the role
- Master’s in Electrical / Electronic/automation
- At least 8 years of experience gained in Low Voltage Switchgear products or Sub/Final Distribution products (e.g. MCBs, RCDs, SPDs)
- Good knowledge of industrials/applications in Low Voltage
- Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation and leadership skills and capability to define and adapt new business models in order to properly address new and evolving business environments
- Availability for travel internally in China
- Strong strategic & systematic thinking and customer-focused mindset
- Self-motivation, curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
