Ocean export executive reviews and processes export transactions, including all related activities, for one or more major accounts. He/she provides excellent, proactive and timely customer service. Day to day duties include preparation of freight quotes, tracking of freight and processing invoices. He/she maintains a strong attention to detail, while ensuring compliance with all government export and transportation regulations.
Ensure excellent, timely and proactive customer service
Receive, review, and process high-volume and/or complex export transactions for clients, including booking, documentation and billing
Visit warehouse to check shipments after completing documentation to ensure that the shipping documents correspond to the actual shipments
Process bills of lading for outgoing shipments
Create quotations for individual shipments, including estimating prices for the shipper and selecting transportation companies to use
Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and company policies, system update, different requirements on documentation/shippoing process, etc.
Ensure customer's requirements are well delivered & implemented during the whole process & have the sense of keep necessary record/evidence for those special handling to avoid possible compliant/claim from customer in case customer find any issue at the time of cargo receipt
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to function autonomously and use good judgment in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Ability to generate and communicate metrics reporting.
Education and Experience:
- At least five years’ experience in logistics.
- Experience working with Cargowise or similar software preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- National travel may be required occasionally.
