- Lead Medical Science Manager (MSM) team to be field-base medical expertises for medical science in assigned disease area and develop and execution of territory medical plan align with Disease Area medical strategy.
- Strengthen TAE management in the field by building up and continuously improving the capability and capacity of MSM DA team to ensure high quality scientific engagement.
- Provide mentorship to MSM for career development.
- Enhance the cross-functional collaboration between MSM team and cross functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to global innovative initiative development and lead the implementation in China for
- Actively lead cross functions projects as medical expert.
- Ensure strict medical compliance in MSM daily activities.
(Major functions of the position)
1) Lead MSM team to ensure full execution of territory medical plan
- Ensure the execution of MSM medical plan to be field-base medical expertises for medical science in responsible field for assigned disease area
- Ensure team’s full understanding and alignment with the medical strategy.
- Ensure MSM works as primary contact for data generation activities: IIS and research request
- Lead the team to design and deliver high quality of scientific communication activities.
- Oversee the implementation of the scientific projects to meet the data gap in regional level.
- Regularly review and modify MSM territory medical plan during implementation to ensure full support to key medical initiatives.
- Shape development MSM team portfolio strategy plan alignment (e.g. with Life Cycle- and other key strategic plans) and delivery of all medical plans in the assigned disease area
- Integrate feedbacks and suggestions from external customers and internal stakeholders for constant improvement.
- Budget and timeline control on MSM activities by active tracking and recording

- Lead MSM team to review and update TAE list in given DA via thorough TAE identification, profiling, and mapping process.
- Define TAE management strategy and engagement plan for MSM team by consulting MM and business counterparts to support medical and brand strategy.

- Recruitment for a high standard MSM team.
- Design and conduct constant training to MSM on both knowledge update and soft skill improvement.
- Provide ongoing assessment of assigned MSM team to ensure the competencies and effectiveness towards team and individual goals.
- Regular co-visits of TAEs with team member to ensure quality of TAE engagement
- Actively contribute to global innovative initiatives development in innovative customer engagement channel or team competency development and lead the exploration and implementation in China affiliate.
- Inspire and motivate positive team work spirit by active, open and constructive communications.
- Coach and support individual subordinate MSM for desired performance and career development.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training plans for the assigned MSM team.
- Manage the MSM team specific budget, including review and approval of expense reports.

Qualification and Experience
- Major in Clinical medicine, Pharma or Science.
- Master Degree or above (preferred).
- >5 years working experience in medical affairs or relevant functions in pharmaceutical company.
- Experienced strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Demonstrated strong ability in cross-functional leadership.
- Proven experiences in people and budget management in relevant pharmaceutical organizations.
- >3 years of people management experiences is preferred
- Expertise in the Therapeutic area of relevance with an established TAE network.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align with wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to motive the team members working towards shared goals.
- Ability to work in a changing and complex circumstance proactively.
