Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in legal assistant or business compliance work in a law firm, corporate, or government legal department.
- Experience supporting a variety of corporate law or M&A matters in Hong Kong as a qualified company secretary or paralegal. Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin fluently in order to support the clients in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to build relationships across the business at all levels, with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail with the ability to manage a stressful environment and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects/requests.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to review and organize numerous documents in complex legal matters.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a wide range of legal and non-legal matters.

In this role, you'll support the Legal Department across various legal and administrative tasks within larger projects. Acting as the main point of contact for both internal and external clients, you’ll draft preliminary legal documents, create process documentation, and lead training sessions. You'll take ownership of well-defined projects, managing legal and business/non-legal matters of low to moderate complexity with some guidance. This includes handling documentation, conducting legal reviews, advising clients on risks and solutions, and driving process improvements.
You'll collaborate with multiple teams within the Legal Department, work closely with internal stakeholders across Google, and engage with external parties, balancing competing priorities while clearly articulating both legal and operational needs.

Responsibilities
- Oversee corporate expansions, liquidations, integrations and coordination of corporate compliance, governance and maintenance for Alphabet subsidiaries in the APAC region.
- Plan and coordinate board/shareholder meetings in accordance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, including attending meetings, preparing board/shareholder documents, taking minutes, maintaining corporate records and internal databases. Monitor and handle required corporate and regulatory filings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, prepare preliminary drafts of legal documents and process documentation, and lead training sessions.
- Ensure compliance to processes and procedures, provide guidance to ensure conformity and consistency in the application of Alphabet’s policies/practices.
- Manage corporate housekeeping tasks, including document tracking, routing for signatures, distribution, filing, data organization, and handling logistics such as corporate chops, certifications, notarizations, and other special projects as requested.
