The key roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
- Provide legal advice and support to APAC country management
- Review and draft complex commercial contracts
- Ensure compliance with local and regional legal regulations
- Manage legal risks for Bureau Veritas Fuels operations in APAC
- Collaborate with global legal team and country leaders
- Support mergers, acquisitions and corporate governance initiatives
- Support the legal and compliance framework with a strong focus on international sanctions compliance, including transactional screening, risk-based advisory, and implementation of appropriate controls across operations.

As it is an APAC role we require candidates to already reside in an APAC country. We are open to what this country could be.
Experience (years and nature)
- A minimum of 5 years’ corporate legal experience
- Strong understanding of APAC legal frameworks
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, notably sanctions
- Fluency in English. Additional Asian language skills (notably Chinese) are advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A legal degree
- Required to be admitted to practice as an attorney or advocate
