Position Overview
Details of the Division and Team
Trade Settlement & Confirmations Operations (TSCO) provides operational support to various desks within GEM and GFFX business including Corporate Banking, covering multiple products mainly Foreign Exchange, Precious Metals, Fixed Income, Money Market and Derivatives.
Primary functions performed range from trade processing, settlements, confirmations, reconciliations and reporting. TSCO also works closely with various offshore operational teams who forms part of the integral process supporting GEM/GFFX business.

Your key responsibilities
Key personnel for the team’s Risk and Control related
Risk identification and Assessment
Identify, assess and document operational risks
Conduct Risk and Control Self Assessments (including periodic trade sampling checks) to evaluate control effectiveness
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and escalate breaches
Control Design and Implementation
Design and implement operational controls (preventive/detective) to mitigate risks.
Ensure controls align with Bank’s policy and local regulation.
Review process workflows to identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
Complete and/or coordinate surveys, self-assessment
Work with team to review and/or assess new or changed regulation, implement process changed if required
Support internal/external audits and regulatory inspections.
Key contact to face-off local Regulators in ad-hoc queries, on-site inspection etc
If required, conduct control self-assessment for both processes or regulatory reports, KOD and checklist design and implementation.
Where necessary, review operational workflow to stay compliant with internal policies and local regulations
Incident Management and Breach Reporting
Investigate operational incidents
Document root causes and prepare incident report, implement corrective actions and conduct read across
Report significant breaches to senior management
Training and Awareness and Stakeholders Interaction
Conduct risk training for Operations staff on control frameworks and new regulation.
Interaction with Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Internal
Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance or related fields degree in Finance, Business or related field
At least 10 years’ work experience in investment banking roles, with strong investment Banking product and regulatory knowledge. Familiar with trade life cycle, settlement and confirmation process and reconciliation
Bilingual in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
Proficient with MS Office applications
Ability to multi-task and work in dynamic environment.
Demonstrate pro-activeness, self-disciplined, self-motivated with ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
