Trade Compliance is a fundamental and critical part of seamless execution focusing on our FTZ operations, Cities and Lacy Act regulatory compliance and Free Trade Agreements.
We are seeking a Global Logistics Specialist based in Shenzhen, China. This role will be responsible for analysis to assist with cost saving measures, problem solving, and improving departmental operations. This role will be analyzing transportation and trade data, working with logistics teams to develop KPIs, and implementing new reporting to enhance overall transportation efficiency. While the role is heavily focused on global logistics and trade data management, the role will also support as needed by managing international shipments from vendors through coordinating and managing with vendors, carriers, customers and regions. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization with a focus on providing the business with actionable insights.
Essential Functions:
- Work cross-functionally to develop / improve on transportation reporting including KPI development and drill-down analytics.
- Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions on various transportation related tasks.
- Monitor and report on international logistics key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally to develop / improve on transportation reporting including KPI development and drill-down analytics.
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of the trade compliance programs, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate international freight movements (ocean, air, and ground) from Asian manufacturing facilities to worldwide destinations
- Coordinate relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping carriers
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency
- Support when needed with shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Collaborate with Fender's global logistics and trade teams.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and process improvement projects
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and Tableau or Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to perform and provide analysis at multiple levels.
- Knowledge of ocean shipping to include origin operations (carrier booking)
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (in particular, Word, Excel, Access)
- Proficient in English
- Bachelor’s degree required
