Job Title: Finance Accountant
Reports To: Country Finance Manager
Location: Beijing, China
About the role:
We are hiring a Finance Accountant to join our Finance team in Beijing. This is a high-impact role that supports revenue control, tax compliance, financial reporting, and corporate governance for BSI China. As a Finance Accountant, you will work closely with the Country Finance Manager and other cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting, support audits and statutory filings, lead finance-related system integration projects, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance with PRC GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations, while contributing to the digital transformation of finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Control & Analysis
- Perform revenue closing activities (accruals, deferrals, reconciliations) and ensure compliance with PRC GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee output VAT and statutory compliance for all China entities.
- Lead auto-billing and SAP-Golden Tax system integration projects.
- Design KPI dashboards and business reports using Power BI, Python, or Excel.
- Supervise invoicing and billing operations, including intercompany and customer transactions.
Tax & Financial Reporting
- Manage tax operations, including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, tax benefits, and subsidy applications.
- Support monthly closings, statutory reporting, and tax filings for China entities.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and legal advisors to ensure audit and compliance readiness.
- Prepare financial statements and reports per local authority requirements.
Corporate Governance
- Manage company constitutional documents, filings, and recordkeeping.
- Support board meetings and shareholder communications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
Process Improvement & Business Partnering
- Standardise payroll accounting and staff cost reporting.
- Collaborate with BSI’s shared services centre and contribute to finance transformation projects.
- Support budget and forecast processes.
- Act as a business partner across departments, supporting ad hoc analysis and process improvements.
About You:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance, tax, and financial reporting, preferably in an MNC or audit background.
- Strong knowledge of PRC GAAP, IFRS, and Chinese tax laws.
- SAP experience is essential; skills in Power BI, Hyperion, Python, or Excel VBA are highly desirable.
- Highly analytical with strong communication and project management skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- Results-driven, collaborative, and able to manage tasks under pressure.
