Responsibilities
- Providing trading coverage for either day trading session or night trading session in collaboration with other Shanghai-based traders.
- Monitoring automated trading systems during market hours in a variety of markets across multiple trading teams using Tower’s custom tools. On a daily basis, this includes initiating, suspending, resuming, adjusting and ending trading software by working autonomously and by working with trading advice from quantitative traders.
- Execute trades and perform quantitative analysis.
- Monitoring live trading for risk and compliance issues and quickly respond to unusual behaviors or market conditions.
- Working with risk and engineering teams to design, write specifications for, and test next-generation automated monitoring systems.
- Working with brokers and exchanges to resolve intraday trading issues.
- Carefully documenting procedures and log production issues as they occur.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline(s) from a top-tier University
- At least 2 years of experience in a trading/support role
- Working knowledge of equities, futures, options, and FX markets
- Solid experience with automated trading strategies
- An understanding of Chinese exchange-specific rules and procedures
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Linux and Python (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English for business purposes
