Role Purpose
This role reports to the CEO Office and ensures delivery of IHG’s corporate strategy and business initiatives with a range of key tasks.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Planning & Delivery
- Conduct market research and analysis to support formulation of the company business strategy
- Review, refine and redesign existing works flow and processes based on corporate strategy
- Monitor consumer sentiments and behavior change, market demand and supply trend, owner typology evolvement and identify challenges and opportunities for targeted business planning
- Lead specified growth-related analysis and initiative, such as new brand launch, business model review, brand growth and maturation pattern, production evolution, etc.
- Stay abreast of market dynamics and competitor intelligence, assess implications and propose proactive measures / solutions for IHG
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops related to business planning and strategy delivery to ensure balanced practical solutions are aligned and executed
Project Management & Programming
- Facilitate discussions with senior business leaders / project sponsors to formulate the Project Charter of Strategic Initiatives, define key objectives, supporting workstreams and success measurements
- Take accountability for success of implementation of strategic initiatives
- Identify and manage project risks/issues, escalate issues in a timely manner with proposed solutions
Key Skills & Experiences
Qualifications and Experience –
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, hospitality or other related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in consulting, strategy or analysis in professional services, hospitality or FMCG industries
• Experience with cross-functional project management at multi-national organizations
Technical Skills and Knowledge –
• Sufficient understanding of independent advisory and corporate strategy. Ability to initiate fact-based discussions and foster an open and trusted conversation environment.
• Extensive project management experience. Familiar with process, methodology and tools. Ability to set up goals, monitor progress, drive delivery and implementation.
• Analytical, rational and structural in elaboration, presentation and communications. Highly proficient in English verbally and in writing.
• Strong partnership mindset and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrate capability to work under pressure, build trust and learn fast.
