Director, AI Platform Management

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Management

• Align with Lenovo and SSG AI strategy, closely co-working with business stakeholders, AI solution delivery teams, and other AI organizations, to promote the TSD AI platform strategy and value proposition.
• Define 1–3-year roadmaps for AI platforms and toolchains with a Build-Leverage-Partner approach, prioritizing capabilities, scalability, security, sustainability, and performance of the platforms, while also addressing issues related to AI adoption, compliance and governance.
• Align platform capabilities (e.g., RAG solutions, multi-agent solutions, etc.) with business objectives in collaboration with C-suite stakeholders.
• Define advanced and practical paradigm to guide vertical domains to properly adopt the AI platforms and toolchains to efficiently deliver AI solutions with industry-leading practices.

Lead AI Platform Operation & Evolution

• Oversee AI solution architecture and engineering of:
  • Model Factory: Integrating with multi-modal LLMs, SLMs, VLMs, Large and Small Reasoning Models, etc., both private and public, with model evaluation & introduction, orchestration, hosting, monitoring, various training/fine-tuning/RLHF/inference, and guardrail capabilities
  • Enterprise Knowledge Management: Building a unified KM platform with advanced technologies like RAG, Knowledge Graph, etc., also supporting multimodal data processing and advanced chunking, retrieval, reranking, etc.
  • Agent Development Platform: Leveraging and enabling low-code agentic engineering platforms with capabilities to integrate with other applications, external tools, and to support security sandboxing and audit trails.
  • Platform Operations: Operating AI platforms to meet management goals on efficiency, stability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness by defining proper processes and metrics via engaging key stakeholders.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead a global AI engineering team with measurable KPIs.
• Foster partnership with Top AI firms like Microsoft, Nvidia, Google, Amazon, and academic institutions for co-innovation.
• Align with business stakeholders and key AI platform users regarding AI platform related business cases, operation and governance model, etc.
• Promote AI platform adoption to meet strategic corporate AI objectives.

Job Requirements:

Education

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Deep insights of AI industries.

Professional Experience & Expertise

• 10+ years in AI system management, including 6+ years of leading AI solution teams.
• 3+ large project ($500K+ investment scale) experience relevant to enterprise AI transformation to understand how to design and implement an enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
• Hands-on experience in AI solution architecture design, agentic AI framework adoption, like LangChain, LangGraph, Dify, Coze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Nvidia Nemo/NIM, etc., with proven track record of success in AI Agent application.
• Proficiency in cloud-native technologies (K8S, Docker, etc.).

Language & Collaboration

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, partners, and company executives, to explain complex technical issues and decisions, and gain their understanding and support.
• Possess a keen insight into new technologies and tools and be able to adapt and learn quickly.
