DESCRIPTION
The AOP (Analytics Operations and Programs) team is responsible for creating core analytics, insight generation and science capabilities for ROW Ops. We develop scalable analytics applications, AI / ML products and research models to optimize operation processes. You will work with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Research Scientists, Applied Scientists, and Business Intelligence Engineers using rigorous quantitative approaches to ensure high quality data science products for our customers around the world. As a BIE Intern, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining adhoc / regular BI products for science projects and working on relevant analytic supports.
Key job responsibilities
1. Learn and understand Amazon internal business analytical eco-systems.
2. Acquire expertise in the state-of-the-art statistical and ML techniques / tools.
3. Analyze data with statistical and ML techniques for Supply Chain solutions using Python.
4. Develop automating metrics report, and display meaningful insight info with data to identify business opportunities or to support leadership decision making.
5. Support data service request in both ad-hoc and formal planning cycle from cross functional teams for the business review and deep dive.
6. Business / analytical knowledge management, including but not limited to: project paper writing, flowchart drafting, and internal Wiki maintenance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (Class of 2026 / 2027) in Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related quantitative fields.
2. Working onsite in the Beijing office (4+ days/week) for minimul 6 months.
3. Strong proficiency in SQL query writing.
4. Experience in data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) development.
5. Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis.
6. Basic understanding of statistics and ML theory.
7. Willingness to learn Operations domain knowledge.

3. Demonstrated experience in ML and LLM related projects.
4. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear documentation for non-technical stakeholders.
5. Familiar with at least one flowchart tool (e.g. Visio).
6. Knowledge of database technologies (e.g. Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB)
7. TOEFL 105+ / IELTS 7.5+.
