Reporting to StepStone Beijing BD team managing Mainland China and Hong Kong investor relations and capital raising process in the region, the position will assist in all aspects of the Investor Relations and fundraising activities related to client/prospect events.
Being part of the team, the candidate will gain an understanding of the overall private market industry from a top-down perspective, from investment to fundraising, and the experience in global top-tier managers could potentially lead to a successful career trajectory in finance.
The role will require working with various teams, such as the Operations Team and Investment Team, on the collation and analysis of a wide range of data points from around the Firm, to be delivered by succinct and comprehensive written and oral communication to the end client or, prospect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Territory Manager in managing direct relationships with LPs and handling ad-hoc tasks as required
- Assist in building qualified pipelines of institutional investors to facilitate the execution of campaigns and roadshows
- Perform market research using publicly available information and proprietary database to identify, quantify and analyze specific topics
- Prepare detailed meeting minutes in both English and Chinese when necessary
Qualifications:
- Top academic performance from leading universities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese; fluency in Cantonese is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Six-month minimum commitment
