Battery Expert

What you´ll do

• Leverage existing data on market and customer analytics to identify relevant trends and technology in your PD area of expertise.
  
• Use external data to model and forecast customer behavior and market segmentation.
  
• Develop and maintain KPIs to identify optimization potential in PD processes and cost footprint and guide implementation.
  
• Leverage an internal network to share best-practices in process and product development and drive standardization across the business.
  
• Connect with external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, research institutes) to support quantitative trend analysis with qualitative feedback.
  
• Communicate and cooperate with the marketing organization as well as presentation of technological results both externally and internally.
  
• Lead the PD team from the respective program and guide them in individualized skill development.
  
• Act as a mentor towards junior colleagues in fostering a culture of innovation.
  
• Manage and steer innovation development programs at the operational level.
  
• Plan, coordinate and implement the project portfolio of adhesives, sealant and coating technology including cost control and timing.
  
• Implement formulation optimizations with regard to cost of goods, raw material substitutions, adaptation of a formulation to customer processes.
  
• Manage the development and modification of chemical formulations of adhesives, sealants.

What makes you a good fit

• Knowledge and >5 yrs experience on the cell development and battery pack development.
  
• Understanding the performance requirement for the material in the cell and in the pack level assembling.
  
• Know the pain points in the battery industry.
  
• Understand the trends in the battery industry development.
  
• Good connection with battery players.
  
• Chemical/physics background with master and above degrees.
