The Associate Director of Strategy and Capability plays a pivotal role in shaping scalable, replicable, and future-ready consumer strategies. This role leads high-impact strategic initiatives and ensures cross-functional integration across omnichannel engagement, MarTech, and HCP-facing teams. By fostering alignment and building strategic capabilities, this role enables the organization to work toward a unified goal of delivering value to the patients who need it most.
Cross-Functional Integration (30%)
Ensure strategic alignment and seamless collaboration across internal and global teams.
- Orchestration Across Functions: Facilitate integration between CMO sub-teams (e.g., MarTech, OCE, Salesforce) and other business units to ensure unified execution.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and global stakeholders to drive alignment and shared ownership.
- Global Collaboration: Partner closely with global teams to share best practices, download consumer strategies, and align implementations.
Lead Strategic Initiatives (60%)
Drive high-impact projects that scale consumer engagement and enhance strategic value.

Own and lead initiatives such as media agency management, media trend analysis, and innovation pilots to elevate consumer capability and reach, includes:
- Partner with media agencies to manage high-impact media and ensure cost efficiency. Stay updated on the media market to identify new and innovative solutions.
- Agency Stewardship: Lead strategic media agencies in budget reallocation using efficiency optimization and incrementality measurement.
- Trend Intelligence: Collaborate with media agencies to map out the media landscape, define the role of different media types, and identify how Lilly can fit in. Educate the organization to drive wider awareness. Forecast platform shifts (e.g., TikTok health trends, privacy-compliant targeting) and develop testing frameworks for piloting and optimization.
- Performance Innovation: Pilot emerging media tactics to reduce the cost per educated patient while expanding reach and impact.
- Develop and implement frameworks for content operations, streamlining review and optimization processes to improve efficiency and impact.
- Innovation Enablement: Identify emerging opportunities and pilot new approaches that future-proof consumer strategies and execution models.
Strategic Capability Building (10%)
Build and embed scalable consumer capabilities to support long-term growth and readiness.
- Capability Frameworks: Design and implement models that enable consistent, consumer-centric execution across functions.
- Ways of Working: Promote standardized processes and tools that foster collaboration, agility, and operational excellence.
