RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve specific goals for a designated part of a research program. Involves working within established research systems.
- Contribute information to business cases in a market-driven manner for research funding to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.
- Contribute to the management and filing of Intellectual Property applications for patents to protect the team's research work.
- Conduct scientific experiments and tests and contribute to the translation of results into practical applications.
- Signal noncompliance and bottlenecks in current processes and procedures, methodologies, and tools.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for key clients, understanding their needs, and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
- Build trusted relationships through expert consultations, on-stie support and data-driven recommendations.
- Manage cross-functional projects teams for short-term (trouble shooting, catalyst/process optimization etc.,) and long-term initiatives (e.g., new product development) initiatives with strong project management skills.
- Collaborate well with production, sales and other relevant departments to ensure product excellence.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minium 3 years in catalysts R&D (can be discussed), scale-up, and application engineering.
- Proven track record in client-facing technical roles (technical service and business development support) in a customer-centric mindset with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
- Deep expertise in catalyst synthesis and performance testing; Knowledge of some industrial catalytic processes; Proficiency in data analysis tools and technical reporting.
- Experience to deal with most situations and to advise others on specific catalyst products and the processes applied.
- Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
- Able to act independently to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives developing solutions while providing guidance and training to others.
- Able to independently use comprehensive knowledge and/or skills to conduct research and analyze data while guiding and training others on how to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer and market conditions that enables maximum return on investments.
- Able to work without supervision and provide technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
- Able to apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on creating relevant, lucid and effective reports.
