This senior security leadership role is critical to protecting company operations, people, assets, and reputation across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The Regional Security Manager (RSM) will implement and oversee the company’s security and resiliency strategy, working closely with global and regional business and functional leadership.
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, the RSM leads regional security operations, builds and enhances security capabilities, and directs crisis and incident response efforts. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
As APAC Security Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Lead the implementation of Global Security programs across APAC, including:
- Crisis management
- Business continuity
- Travel security
- Workplace violence prevention
- Investigations
- Supply Chain Security
- Security systems & technology
2. Direct high-risk and high-impact incident response within the region.
3. Conduct security risk assessments and recommend effective, cost-conscious solutions.
4. Guide and support country and site-level security coordinators and site leaders.
5. Collect, assess, and apply regional intelligence to inform and strengthen security programs.
6. Maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, law enforcement, and government agencies.
7. Serve as the primary advisor on all security matters in the APAC region.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or a risk-management function.
- At least 7 years of experience conducting or overseeing investigations in areas such as legal, EHS, intelligence, or criminal investigations.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, multicultural, and multilingual environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and discreet approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in corporate security, internal audit, legal, compliance, military, or law enforcement with international scope.
- Established network of security professionals and service providers in the APAC region.
- Experience in crisis management and response coordination.
- Fluency in English and an additional regional language, preferably Mandarin.
- Familiarity with physical security assessments and protective measures.
- Prior work with regulated agencies or ethics and compliance programs.
Work location: Shanghai, HK, or Singapore
- Hybrid Eligible
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international
